Task Description:

Using essay format and structure, develop a personal leadership model with reference to at least three (3) major areas of leadership (e.g. ethics, multiculturalism, teamwork, philosophy, psychology, power, leadership theory, management). Refer to the examples and instructions provided in the textbook for guidance and apply the following guidelines to your leadership model:

·         Explain the main organizing idea or issue in your leadership model? E.G. credibility, vision, traits, relationships, etc.

·         Describe what you consider to be the most important traits, skills and tasks of an effective leader.

·         Explain the core values that your leadership model emphasises.

·         Explain how the relationships in the organisation/group that exist will benefit as a result of using your leadership model.

·         Describe the culture of the organization/group that would exist if your model was used.

·         Explain what the leadership practiced in your model is seeking to achieve?

·         Explain why your leadership model is different than what currently exists? If it is not different, explain why you have elected for the status quo. 

·         Explain how you will personally apply your leadership model.

From the early days in my life, I have always been an arts person, innovative and love exploring. Whenever I encounter an issue, I love to explore with the aim of finding the solution, and the word “no” is never my vocabulary or bond word. In all the roles I have taken in the organizations I have worked for, creativity and innovation has been my core strength (Froyd, 2015). I am passionate about new ideas and I believe this is one of the traits that will help me take my organization to the next level. I am passionate about creativity and I think it will help to develop one of my top abilities. Positivity can either be a good thing or a bad one, depending on how one uses it. On my part, I can make use of my love for exploring new things and ingenuity to solve conflicts and emerging problems. On the other hand, sometimes creativity may lead to using new ways that may introduce new and complex problems for the organization to deal with (Chong, 2013)

Team Player

Am a good team player. I understand well how to socialize and relate with other people, both my juniors and senior staff members of the organization. I love giving space for the workers to be creative and to do the tasks on their way. I am more focused on the manner in which people feel and not the task they perform. I believe that treating the people well lead to better results. While I give the people their way, am also firm and want to see results (Ghulam, 2014). I believe I can thrive in a highly demanding environment where leaders have to be accountable for the productivity of their employees. As a team leader, I take responsibility for the failure and mistakes of my team members, that means that they have to work to achieve the goals which means a win for us all….
