You need to support your analysis with readings from the subject and your own investigation of the research literature. In your essay, you should connect theory to some conclusions you have drawn about what educational interventions might need to be implemented to support the student and enable the student to engage in learning and higher order thinking, as well as to improve motivation towards high school. You will thus need to connect a few of your conclusions to a range of educational outcomes explicitly for students from diverse backgrounds or with diverse needs. You will use theories of development and learning to justify your analysis, with reference to appropriate texts. Based on your analysis, you are then to identify three
(3) appropriate, evidence-based strategies to support the student’s social and ethical behaviour, as well as their learning and development. They will be designed to engage the student in successful learning, as well as engaging family in the learning process. However you analyse the case study, you must provide the evidence from the observations in the study (explain why you think this), provide academic theory with references to support your conclusions (explain what experts have to say about it), and then provide strategies for supporting the student in the future (describe how you as a teacher will respond)

Your post will briefly outline at least two factors that you need to address in relation to supporting the learning and developmental needs of the student, reference to relevant theory from the course readings in relation to the key relevant factors for the case study; suggest at least one evidence-based teaching approach that could be implemented to support the student. Your post should demonstrate evidence of preliminary reading and research via the course readings. You should list your reference sources with your post (2 marks).
