Topic: Application of 3D printing in supply chain management
Background: 3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing (AM), is becoming an emerging trend over the recent years. Industries like consumer electronics, fashion and automotive are all the major industry players that are driving the market for 3D printing. As a major technological player, 3D printing has advantages of reducing supply complexities and increasing the speed to market, and it can lead to substantial changes in supply chain management.
Requirements: Please select one international company from any industry, and analyse the application of 3D printing in their supply chain management. The word limitation is 1500 words, and the following aspects should be included in your report. 

1.         Provide a brief introduction of the company.

2.         Introduce how 3D printing is applied in that company. (around 400 words)

3.         Explain how the application of 3D printing affects its supply chain management. (around 400 words)

4.         Discuss the advantages of 3D printing applications in supply chain management under the pandemic. (around 400 words)

Examples: Ø  Manufacturing firms like General Electric, HP, Mercedes-Benz, as well as BMW; 

Ø  Furniture companies such as Poltrona Frau;

Ø  Fashion companies like Adidas;

Ø  Other 3D printing cases are also fine.

Important notes: Ø  You need to provide relevant references to support your explanation and arguments across your report. References can be from various sources such as books, journal articles, and newspapers.
