Community Nursing Ecogram: Identify a character in literature or in cinematography whose relationships with his/her family figures are prominent in the narrative.

Family is a frequent subject in fiction books and in movies. Identify a character in literature or in cinematography whose relationships with his/her family figures are prominent in the narrative. Note how those relationships affect the character’s development and the storyline. Based on your chosen character in a book, television show, or movie, create a detailed ecogram that reflects the influences that other systems have on the individual and family. Your ecomap/ecogram should illustrate family relationships and show vital connections, which can include religious, work, cultural, or social groups. The next item in this week’s outline is an ecogram “toolkit” that includes the lines and shapes you need to construct your own ecogram in a PowerPoint slide. Alternatively, you could create your ecogram in a graphics program and paste the image into a Word document or save the image as a .jpg or .pdf file. You could also draw your ecogram by hand, then scan it and save as a Word document, a PDF document , or a .jpg image file. Remember to indicate the name of the character as well as the title of the book, TV show, or movie that you selected as the subject for your ecogram.
