I​‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍​ntroduction So much has happened in the past few years including a global public health crisis and a movement for racial justice, with implications for environmentalism and environmental justice. There is also an ongoing war in Ukraine – with justice, health, environmental, and economic impacts which will e felt for years to come. We also acknowledge that content in this class combined with the challenges of the last few years can lead to psychological and information overload. When overload hits, it is vital to consciously take time to pause and reflect. For this Section, we ask that you take a pause in this busy week a​‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍​nd use reflective, critical thinking to tie both the racial justice movement and COVID pandemic to what it has surfaced about environmentalism and environmental justice. You might include: Think about what you’ve learned in the course so far. Have there been moments of connection between the content and current events in your life, society, the world? What connections can be made? How is all of this making you feel? Think of this as a sharing space this week, to reflect on the first three weeks of this course through the lens of our extraordinary times.
