The reflective account will include your experiences of meeting with the Health care professional, your presentation and your understanding of Midwifery as part of the Multidisciplinary team Guidance: Introduction: 150 words approx The Introduction should present a clear sign post of the issues to be discussed. The experience of meeting a Health Care Professional (HCP) needs to be clearly identified, and can include the subsequent presentation completed with your group. Confidentiality needs to be addressed for the client, the Organisation and any members of staff you have made reference to and you can reference The code (NMC 2018) for this issue. Use a reflective model of your choice – briefly state your rationale for the chosen model rather than another and state why you found it useful in the context of reflecting on clinical incidents. Discussing the significance of reflecting on the experiences can be included in this section. Using headings of the model may help with the structure your account but this is not mandatory. Main body: 500 words approx If you are looking for further headings to use in your reflective account you could use the following to guide the critical incident analysis. • Description of the incident. Experience for your formative assessment will be meeting and interviewing your Health care professional allocated to your group. • How and what did you learn from the experience? Did the set questions assist you in developing your interview? Did you gain further insight into your Health care professional’s role? From the set questions provided were there any other learning experiences.? • You can also include your experiences from your group presentation completed on the 1st of November. Analysis: 200 words approx The analysis section is really important to argue your points academically using words such as however, nevertheless on the other hand and whereas. Decide what particular points of th‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍e incident you will analyse, tell the marker why you have chosen those aspects-might be because it had the greatest impact on your learning and in your future client’s care. Support with appropriate references: citing research papers where possible is essential. Action plan as part of your reflective account: 150 words approx Your action plan is about what you intend to do in future-verbs should be used, always put a time frame on when you hope to achieve them and always say how you will evaluate them-discussing with your Module leader or Cohort leader to support your future learning in clinical practice as this will also support your evaluation.. Conclusion: 150 words approx Please ensure you have a conclusion that brings all the points of your reflective account together- relating it to learning and to your practice. You can include references in your conclusion but keep this to a minimum as . Relate your points to theory and to the reality of practice and always to the client involved in the incident. No new material should be introduced in your conclusion. Referencing: Pay attention to your references- and use the Harvard system- a copy placed beside you as write may be helpful. Choose up to date references (within five years) regarding the professional issues in Midwifery and your HCP. Avoid secondary referencing when possible as you cannot always check the original and are relying on interpretation by others. Avoid the use of too many direct quotations too as their impact will be reduced. Indicate the relevance of each direct quote if used within the text. Direct quotations should not be a substitute for your own opinion. Please cross check that all your references in your assignment appear in the reference list as they occur in the assignment with your reference list NB: Our group met with a Mental Health Nurse in the NHS UK and she talked about the role and how they connect with midwifery. I have attached our group presentation slide. This reflective report has to use a reflective model.‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍ Thank you.
