For this term paper, you are asked to research on the development of a city. The city you present can be any city in the western culture, except New York City or Los Angeles. It can be your hometown, a city you have visited often, or simply a city that is interesting to you. Your paper may include why you picked your particular city, its geographic location, historical and urban significance, demographic changes, current socioeconomic characteristics and challenges (e.g. traffic, public education, crime, housing), and future development plan (if applicable). You need to include at least two concepts, topics, or models covered in lectures and relate them to your chosen city. The total paper should be at least 1,200 words (excluding references), double spaced with 12-pt Times New Roman font.
