Income inequality is characterized by the unique distribution of income across various participants in an economy. On the other hand, poverty is the scarcity of a certain material possessions. Moreover, the term is multifaceted including political, economic as well as social elements. Income distribution is unlikely to lead to poverty due to the difficulty of defining strategies of property division.
