During the first few weeks of this course, you will have the opportunity to find “artifacts” of how our culture views aging, and think critically about this. You will collect TWO items from online media/materials, photos, or artwork which serve as examples of cultural treatment of aging and old age. These examples can come from popular magazines, advertisements, music, film, etc. For example, you could choose song lyrics about growing old or a magazine advertisement for anti-aging cream. They can also include physical items like a greeting card (must include a legible photo of the item).
For each item you will submit, in ONE page:
A title, including your name
A link and photo of the item
A written section that includes:
Analysis of Commentary on Aging: Explain the artifact and describe what it says about aging or old age
