Effective Evidence
For this discussion post, you will read the student example essay “Keeping Yellowstone Preserved.” You will then evaluate the claim and one piece of evidence used in the essay.
Your initial post should:
Identify the thesis of the essay. Then, within that thesis statement, identify:
The claim
What specific stance is the author taking?
The main evidence claims supporting the primary claim
What are the reasons for this stance?
Identify one body paragraph that you felt was most persuasive.
Why do you think it was especially effective? Give 2-3 reasons for your opinion.
Identify one source used as evidence in the essay. Then, evaluate that source to determine if it is credible or not.
