With the Coronovirus Pandemic, the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and the imposition of global sanctions on Russia, there are increasing claims to the end of globalization. An opinion piece in the New York Times by Spencer Bokat-Lidells argues “globalization had already begun to reverse after the Great Recession”, with momentum added by the Coronivrus pandemic and the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Are we seeing an end to globalization and a return to autarky (Economic self-sufficiency)? What would de-globalization mean to a multi-national enterprise? Could there be a benefit to de-globalization
