To help you do this, you will construct a table to fill out (in Excel) of the main themes(I will attach excel onto this order) of your research topic that summarizes the research. (You must know what is out there if you are to synthesize.) Assignment Directions For this assignment, you will review the literature around your research interest area. You will include at least 10 published articles in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals.
Of these 10, you must adhere to the following limitations: 8 or more must be empirical 6 or more must have been published since 2010 2 or more must have been published since 2016 2 or more must use a qualitative method 2 or more must use a quantitative method When you review the literature, you should structure your writing in a way that organizes the literature around themes that aids to draw connections or contrasts in the research. You should not proceed through each study one-by-one or in a chronological order, but rather synthesize the research around themes. Moreover, you should describe limitations and critique the studies when appropriate. This will aid you in establishing a gap in the literature, a need for an extension to the existing literature, or a need for a correction to the existing literature. At the end of your literature review, you should include a brief summary of your literature review that ends by explicitly identifying the gap, extension, or correction that makes an entry point for a possible study. Your review should be a succinct 5-8 pages long, excluding references.
You should include a full reference list at the end in APA format. After each reference, you should include the journal impact factor (when appropriate; you can choose whether to use SJR or h5-index) and the number of citations for each reference.
