Menstrual synchrony is a phenomenon that is alleged to be characterized by women living close to each other experiencing their menstrual cycles onsets in the same timeframes. The phenomenon is thought to be influenced by the alpha females being the determining factor that leads to other women experiencing menstruation and ovulation(Dan & Lewis, 2016).
