Students should visit in person, or virtually, any museum, gallery or historical home and report on some  aspect of the period covered in our course (1877-2021.)  Or students may attend a book talk or historical lecture, on a topic that conforms within the time period of our course.  Students should write a 2-3 page paper about their personal experience, explaining why they chose their topic, and what they learned from it. Extra credit may be submitted at any time during the semester.
