Social class is determined by factors such as occupation level, income, and education. The above factors determine whether a person is a failure or success in the existing class structure. The population with high education, income, and prestigious occupations fall under the elite category. The social class has been associated with the causes of discrimination in various communities globally (Brady & Burton, 2016). This has resulted in poor individuals and communities failing to have access to certain treatment or services. Poverty is linked to poor health, poor eating habits, poor lifestyles, and fashion among others, which are determined to determine the social class where one belongs.
