The Effect of Small Class Size on Student Assessment Scores Research Scenario:

During the 2018-2019 academic year (AY), the average student enrollment in your classes was 30. At the end of year, the school budget increased allowing the district to hire many new full-time teachers. Due to this increase, the average student enrollment in your class decreased from 30 to 15 students during the 2019-2020 academic year (AY). Your administrator, Dr. Martin, contacted you about conducting a study on small class size. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect small class size has on the New Jersey Student Learning Assessments (NJSLA). The information uncovered, along with your recommendations, will be shared with the District Board of Education for analysis.
