Burnout is a syndrome that is branded by emotional exhaustion. This results in depersonalization as well as a decreased personal accomplishment with various duties. An individual is overwhelmed by work to the point of feeling fatigued thus leading to the failure of engaging with others. Burnout is considered common amongst the healthcare practitioners. Predisposing factors include poor relationships, role conflict, failed control over work processes, and time pressure.
