Hemingway – and decide upon a feature of the text you want to analyze – repetition(literary device to be used) Your goal for this essay is to craft an argument about an element of your chosen text that falls within one of the five categories (remember we make arguments by offering specific interpretations of texts). For example, if you are interested in the repeated use of cat imagery in “Big Me,” you could pose an argument about the meaning of this particular repetition and how it serves the story as a whole.
